SeaVees has been on the cutting edge of the casual sneaker movement since the 1960s. Its SeaVees Wilder Sneakers are lace-up sneakers with a simple, timeless look. The brand’s groundbreaking advertising campaign in the 1960s transformed the concept of wearing sneakers as gym shoes and reimagined them into casual everyday wear. According to SeaVees company legacy, in 1969, BF Goodrich sold the brand along with Jack Purcell and PF Flyers to Converse Rubber Company. By 1971 a US Department of Justice complaint about Converse having a corner monopoly on the sneaker market forced the company to close SeaVees. The brand went dormant for around 40 years until its rediscovery in 2005 when shoe designer and entrepreneur Steven Tiller discovered a pair of vintage SeaVees sneakers in a second-hand store in Tokyo.

Fast-forward to the 2020s, SeaVees offers collections ranging from the classics to the new SeaVees Wilder Sneaker, with a simple white, summer-style gum-tumbled leather and details that bridge the gap between loafers and gym shoes. SeaVees Wilder Sneaker takes inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s West Coast minimalism. The sneaker promotes the power of simplicity with crisp white leather uppers, providing a clean silhouette, soft-washed cotton canvas lining for comfort, and white cotton laces to round out the classic look.
