Help around the house can be difficult to come by, especially if you are disabled or have mobility issues. Samsung wants to lend a helping hand with its Samsung Ballie. Ballie is a small, ball-shaped robot that can help perform everyday tasks around the house. The robot, which isn’t all that much larger than a baseball, features internal AI so it can learn and react to your needs. Ballie can follow you around and provide some general assistance, such as helping you connect technology inside the house, provide you with answers and offer insights on what you’re doing. It can even monitor a home workout and provide you with suggestions.

The Ballie is designed to be a support device inside your home. It’s the flagship of Samsung’s vision for its Age of Experience which was announced at CES 2020. The company will produce human-centered technology using AI, powered by 5G. While small, it looks to be just one part of a larger home AI experience that can help improve your overall quality of life by learning and responding to your needs.
