City living has its downsides, and they’re mostly transportation-related. Clogged streets make driving slower than walking, and when you get where you’re going you’ll need a black AMEX card to pay for parking. Same goes if you provide a delivery service like UberEATS. If the food arrives cold you’ll soon be out of business!
One answer is a bike, but while you’ll reach home or the office faster, and exercise at the same time, you just can’t carry much. To solve this problem German E-bike specialists Riese & Muller developed the Load E-Cargo e-bike.
An e-bike tacks an electric motor on to the conventional two-wheeled machine. This adds juice for tackling hills, and comes in handy when moving some extra weight. Unlike other e-bikes though, the Riese & Muller Load puts the cargo section between rider and front wheel. That keeps the center of gravity low and lets you watch over the valuable cargo. (Riese & Muller suggest that could include kids.)
The Riese & Muller Load E-Cargo bike comes in three models. The entry level Load Light gets a 10-speed Shimano gear set and a Bosch motor that whisks it up to 15 mph (25 km/h). Or to get there faster there’s a Touring model with a Bosch CX motor good for 28 mph (45 km/h). Topping the range is the Touring HS with an 11-speed Shimano derailleur. And if butt comfort is a concern, full suspension is standard.
