Originally founded in 1919 and recently rebooted in 2014, Kirk Originals crafted sunglasses that have graced the faces of rock stars that range from Mick Jagger to Morrissey. It was early photographs of the band Oasis, however, that ultimately drove the British street culture-inspired clothing and accessory company Pretty Green to approach Kirk Originals about an eyewear collaboration.
Beginning with the basic Kirk Originals frame shape that Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher had been sporting for years, Pretty Green endeavored to add an extra dose of the rock ‘n’ roll attitude to the design with a choice of lens colors. Working closely with Kirks Originals brand consultant Gordon Ritchie, the Pretty Green team has created three new Pretty Green x Kirk Originals Sunglasses: the Infamous, the Famous, and the Notorious. The Infamous and the Famous are available with either gold or silver lenses. The Notorious comes in tortoiseshell, smoke, and black frame/lens color combinations.
