Porsche Mission E Concept

Watch out Tesla as there seems to be a new player in town, and it’s none other that Porsche. The new Porsche Mission E Concept that was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show is a slippery and beautiful looking thing that aims to dethrone Tesla as the default electric vehicle for the well heeled.

The performance credentials are impressive; with all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, the car promises to stick to the road and corner like it’s on rails. The 800-volt drive system puts out a power that is equivalent to over 600 hp that can instantly propel the car to 60 in less than 3.5 seconds. At full charge, the Porsche has a range of over 300 miles, and in a pinch for time it can be charged up to its 80% capacity in just 15 minutes. Quite impressive for an electric car and lessens range anxiety a bit.

With a low center of gravity and lightweight construction, we’re sure that the car will drive like all Porsches should. Although a concept only at this point, let’s hope that Porsche has the good sense to put this beauty into production.
