Porsche has an impressive catalog of licensed products to show and, sometimes, wear your loyalty to the brand. The most recent items are two e-bikes dubbed the Cross Performance and Cross Performance EXC. These electric off-road capable bicycles are designed by Studio F. A. Porsche and take inspiration from the 911 and Taycan.
Both Porsche e-bikes feature a carbon fiber frame designed with help from ROTWILD, a German electric mountain bike based in Dieburg near Stuttgart. Handling starts with a 100-mm spring deflection, a Fox 34 Float Factory suspension fork at the front, and a Fox Float DPS Factory air damper at the back.
They ride on Synthesis Enduro carbon wheels from Crankbrothers with different spoke tensions depending on load distribution. A four-piston set of MAGURA MT7 disc brakes provides plenty of stopping power. Performance comes in the form of a 630-Wh Shimano battery powering an EP801 motor producing 62.5 lb.-ft of torque. Riders can navigate trails using the Shimano XT 12-gear shift system.
The Porsche Cross Performance and Cross Performance EXC are available for pre-order now on the Porsche Shop website. Buyers can choose three frame sizes and six Porsche original vehicle colors, including Shark Blue and Rubystar Red.
