Lightweight, safe, portable and functional baggage isn’t just for the intrepid bike messenger. North St. has introduced a seriously cool and seriously usable new hip pack for a variety of uses.
North St. was begun out of a desire to produce in-house designed and manufactured functional active bags. Made in the heart of hipster Portland, Oregon, each bag is made with transparency and care with US-sourced materials, most of them coming straight from the Pacific Northwest. The whole goal is to support a small but vibrant producer community, eradicating unnecessary transport and warehousing costs.
The new Pioneer 12 Hip Pack is a reflection of that. Made from waterproof sailcloth material of X-Pac LiteSkin produced in Connecticut by Dimension Polyant, the bag comes in a savvy smoke gray color for boundless yet dry and safe movement. With a comfortable and adjustable hip or bicycle handlebar placement, you can carry all your essentials in this 12-inch pack.
Inside the well-appointed interior allows you to organize separate items like tools or toiletries, proving that the bag is ideal for travelers whether your preferred method is by bike, train, plane, or your own two feet. The pack’s perimeter zipper opens up flat so you can organize each of your items in its two rows of internal pockets. An optional removable shoulder strap and belt includes 1.5-inch gatekeeper hardware that permits you to change the setup of your bag for on-the-fly excursions. The bag’s front zipper pocket allows for quick access for things like a smartphone.
