Sharing a love of great design and great food, design engineers and ardent cooks, Jack Raison and Nick Orme, developed the Njori Tempo, a compact smart cooker designed to offer professional precision to home chefs. The Njori Tempo is a portable induction hob that is packed full of culinary tech, including a feedback loop that enables the user to set and maintain a precise temperature for sous-vide, deep-frying, shallow-frying, or slow-cooking. This easy-to-use, all-in-one unit comes with a series of preset modes and hand accessories, integrated scales, an assortment of probes to test the temperature of the food, and an ergonomic dial to make delicate temperature adjustments.
Given all that the Njori Tempo can do, the device has a surprisingly sleek and compact design that makes it easy to store, transport, and is small enough for even the tiniest of kitchens. Plus, all the accessories and cables fit neatly into its cork base so it can be packed away or stored on a standard bookshelf – perfect for today’s smaller kitchens and urban living spaces. “This was a high priority when first designing the product,” says Raison and Orme. “When in use it won’t take up valuable space on your worktop and when not in use, it can be stored on a bookshelf alongside your favorite cookbooks.” The Njori Tempo is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter with delivery anticipated in February of 2022.
