Mercedes-Benz F015 Autonomous Concept

The latest keyword in the automotive industry seems to be ‘autonomous driving’ these days with most car manufacturers pushing their technology to the next level. Up until now we have seen various safety assistances ranging from lane keep assist, radar guided cruise controls, and collision avoidance systems that work in varying levels. We knew that the direction these technologies will take was headed in the direction of autonomous driving yet the realities of our road conditions kept us from thinking that it was anywhere close to becoming reality. The Mercedes-Benz F015 Autonomous Concept looks to take things to the next level that shows off the in-house technology the car manufacturer has to offer. It’s only still a concept so don’t expect to see one in your local showroom anytime soon, but it is nice to see that car manufacturers are taking this idea seriously.
