Huckberry is known for partnering with high-quality and unique brands that promote an outdoor lifestyle. This month, Huckberry unveiled its recent partnership with Departo, a company that is less than a year old and already gaining plenty of attention for producing sophisticated and simplified furniture and housewares. The Departo Folding Chair is the first item the freshman company introduced. It features a minimalist aesthetic in a design using solid ash, steel, and canvas materials. Huckberry says this clean-lined folding chair got its inspiration from historical military campaign furniture. It is as perfect at a dinner party as it is as outdoor seating at a BBQ or a portable chair for a day at the beach.
The Departo Folding Chair features a combination of utility and style, with a backrest and legs in ash wood, a canvas seat, and structural elements made of steel. Departo also added a leather handle for easy carrying. The Departo Folding Chair measures 18.9-inches wide by 29.1-inches high and is 18.8-inches deep. It folds neatly to save space when it is not in use. Departo developed from a partnership between the design firm of Yabu Pushelberg and Stellar Works furniture maker to create a collection of folding furniture as a ‘departure’ from typical luxury goods.
