Lincoln Motor Company and Shinola luxury goods have collaborated to create a bespoke concept car, the 2022 Lincoln Aviator Shinola Concept. Shinola is known for producing fine leather goods, watches, and bicycles, among other premium products. Together with Lincoln, the two American luxury brands have created a concept vehicle based on the new 2022 Lincoln Aviator SUV. So think of this concept as a Shinola edition Lincoln Aviator.
Official press photos show the Lincoln Aviator wearing bluish-white exterior paint with copper accents. This color is said to have been inspired by Shinola’s mother of pearl stone watch dials. In addition, the contrasting copper accent is a tribute to Shinola’s Runwell bicycle. The results of these color combinations create an elegant rose gold effect. The interior is also heavily inspired by Shinola. The seats, steering wheel, and dashboard are dressed in Kentucky bourbon-colored leather with crème colored suede inserts. Some critics say the interior is “a bit much,” but we say it looks fantastic. It made us think back to the glory days of the early 2000s when custom SUVs reigned supreme.
Whether this concept will evolve into a future interior package or trim level is unknown. However, the Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept is set to debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later in August. There, amongst the priceless collector cars, visitors of the show can admire the Detroit-proud luxury SUV in person.
