As part of Lenovo’s recent Tech World 2021 showcase event, the brand unveiled a range of new tablets and laptops. One device that particularly stands out is the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon, which will be known as the IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon in the U.S. Lenovo claims it is the lightest 14-inch OLED laptop on the market, weighing in at a mere 2.37 pounds spread across a slim 0.58-inches at its thinnest point, with a carbon fiber and magnesium alloy frame. Despite the trim proportions of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon, it comes with a military-grade MIL-STD 810H spec confirming the device has undergone “nine operational tests” for durability and can withstand “everyday physical shock and harsh environmental conditions.”
The OLED display on the IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon is made by Samsung. Its 14-inch 2.8K resolution screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and thin bezels. The display offers stunning QHD+ visuals, with ultra-vivid picture quality with Dolby Vision and Display HDR TrueBlack 500. Inside, the Slim 7 can be configured with up to an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800U CPU, an Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics card, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. There is a 61Whr battery that Lenovo claims will last up to 14.5 hours. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon will be available to purchase sometime in October.
