The LEGO Architecture collection has traditionally focused on faithful miniature recreations of iconic skylines, but its latest release takes a more conceptual approach. The New York City – The Big Apple set distills the city’s identity into a sculptural display, arranging some of its most recognizable landmarks within the silhouette of a giant apple.

Constructed from 1,465 pieces, the model incorporates architectural icons including the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty. Rather than presenting these landmarks along a conventional skyline, LEGO layers them into a compact composition framed by the shape that inspired New York’s enduring nickname. A minifigure-scale Statue of Liberty crowns the display, adding a playful counterpoint to the otherwise architectural presentation.

Measuring approximately 11⅜ inches wide, 11 inches tall, and 4¾ inches deep, the model is designed for builders ages 18 and older. Like recent entries in the Architecture series, it moves beyond strict realism in favor of visual storytelling. The result feels less like a scale model and more like a three-dimensional graphic interpretation of the city itself.

That shift in approach makes the set particularly compelling as a display piece. While previous Architecture releases have emphasized accuracy and skyline recognition, New York City – The Big Apple leans into symbolism, combining architecture, urban identity, and sculpture in a single object. The model succeeds not only as a building experience but also as a piece of desk or shelf décor, capturing the spirit of New York through abstraction rather than replication.

The LEGO Architecture New York City – The Big Apple set is availalbe now and will retails for $139.99.
