Set to debut in 2021, the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV is a virtual electric endurance race car designed as an exclusive for the latest installment in the Gran Turismo racing simulator video game. While not a physical vehicle, the Jaguar Vision GT SV is a case of what is possible when the rules don’t matter. The GT SV is a hotter version of its virtual predecessor, the 2019 Jaguar Vision GT Coupe. The GT Coupe used three electric motors to make 1,005 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque.
Jaguar gave the GT SV a little more juice by adding a fourth electric motor and can roll using 1,877 hp and enough torque to push-start a freight train at 2,478 lb-ft. Jaguar claims the GT SV can hit zero to 60 in 1.65 seconds and teleport to a 255 mph top speed, which would be higher if it weren’t for the car’s outrageous aerodynamics. The car was designed to cement itself to the track using downforce. The styling of the Jaguar GT SV is sleek, low, and long, with design references from the C-type, D-type, XJR-9, and XJR-14. The underbody is sculpted and completely enclosed to accelerate airflow. The GT SV has a drag coefficient of 0.398, and at 200 mph, it’s producing over 1,000 lbs of downforce. Jaguar built a real model of the Vision GT SV to display because a car this badass should be appreciated in the real world.
