Located in a small shop just outside of Chicago is the HiFi Case Audio House. Since 2013, the company has been making unique bespoke HiFi cases that are a touch of vintage combined with a touch of modern. The brand’s latest release, the Aura 2, is among HiFi Case’s newest line of speakers. The Aura 2 takes its design cues from the Mid-Century Modern era and updates it with the latest in Bluetooth audio. Typical of designs from this era, the Aura 2 is characterized by clean, simple lines, with few decorative embellishments. The speaker sits atop short tapered wooden legs, has brass front controls, and sports a vintage-inspired cloth covering over the two dome tweeters and dual 8-inch woofers.
An internal 2-channel DSP amplifier provides 50W of power and Bluetooth 5.0 with Apt-X provides wireless convenience. The Aura 2 has RCA inputs in the back for those that spin vinyl. The speaker can even double as a piece of furniture providing users with a place for their turntable up top. Measuring 28- x 20- x 12-inches, the Aura 2’s powerful amplifier and speakers can handle just about space — and look great at the same time.
