For those of us who simply like to live life on the edge, that same bravado doesn’t have to end when it comes to choice of bar and glassware. These Glassblower Ben Slanted Bar Glasses blow the lid off the normally sedate glassware industry.
Glassblower Ben Dombey has built his life’s work on the commitment to the perfect rocks glass. The glass sculptural artist, cum glassmaker, took up the challenge to create the perfect whiskey glass after a trip to Scotland. He quickly rolled out a collection of fully handmade glassware in different sizes to handle the neatest of whiskeys or the messiest of margaritas.
The new Slanted Bar Glasses are made in the same tradition, but with an interesting design twist. Ben has slanted the glasses on a 45-degree angle, because regular perpendicular glasses are just too normal. The elegantly tilting glasswork looks great propped up on a custom wood bar or when brought out for a post-mountain race toast. The boldly rippled glasses are the perfect receptacle for an amber tipple or a classic cocktail.
Sold in a paired set of a six ounce and eight-ounce glass, the tumblers are both handmade with lung power in Ben’s US studio. The glasses have a distinctive texture in the tilted base, adding to their rustic quality and silhouette. For an added touch of bespoke flair, you can order your glasses with either a stock (fleur-de-lis, or a skull amongst other choices) or a custom made stamp or text of your choosing.
