Federal Moto 'The Five'

Federal Moto The Five BMW R100

Federal Moto’s first classic cafe racer is trimmed down, simple, with a small nod to the past.

Federal Moto makes unique one-off custom creations that push the boundaries of design and performance on two wheels. Their classically inspired bikes are designed to be driven on the streets as well as the mountain peaks, but their newest addition is the Canadian crew’s first classic cafe racer that brings their game up to another level.

Based on the BMW R100, the Federal Moto ‘The Five’ BMW R100 has been trimmed down and made simple, with a small nod to the past. It’s ditched most of the old bodywork except for the fuel tank, slimming down the old airhead. The short leather seat has embedded LEDs that act as both the taillight and turn signals. The overall design pays homage to the ‘Number Five’ Lotus 77 Formula 1 car driven by Mario Andretti, with a John Player Special-style design. The sporty stance is also backed by the completely re-built motor that now features a pair of Mikuni VM34 carbs. We can imagine this being a blast to ride and can’t wait to see what the Canadians have up their sleeve next.
