Another top-to-bottom restoration that brings the Seventies back to life, the E-Type UK 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Restomod is a sexier, safer, and easier-to-handle version of its former self. A shiny coat of Opalescent Gunmetal, applied immaculately over every restored curve, is the only exterior upgrade that’s purely aesthetic. A new aluminium bonnet makes the front end a little lighter, while 16-inch Turino wheels can handle tires with more traction, and a 12-branch stainless steel exhaust system really lets the V12 engine roar.

When Jaguar first released the Series 3 in 1971, that engine was the biggest they’d ever put in a family car. (That’s why the cockpit is lined with Dynamat, a sound-dampener that keeps road noise to a minimum beneath those Oxblood red seats.) Other details that were brand new at the time included foldable rear seats, a cross-slated grille, four-tip exhaust, and flared wheel arches. This particular Series 3 coupe, delivered in Lavender Blue in 1973, toured the UK countryside for years before E-Type UK stripped it down to its shell for this dreamy restoration.
