Charvel, the iconic brand of electric guitars founded in the 1970s by Wayne Charvel in Azusa, California, has announced the release of two new models to their Pro Mod So-Cal Style 1® Series – the Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR M, Maple Fingerboard, and the Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR E, Ebony Fingerboard.
Both guitars feature elegant design and superior performance, perfect for musicians who demand the best in sound, style, and feel. The new models are designed to offer a modern sound for versatile players with a musical vision that knows no bounds.
The Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR M, Maple Fingerboard, comes with a convenient heel-mount spoke wheel, allowing for rapid truss rod tweaks, perfect for adjustments during performances. The guitar also features a speed neck profile, a 12”-16” compound radius fingerboard with 22 frets, and is designed to suit all styles of play.
The Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR E, Ebony Fingerboard, features a no-load tone control that operates like a standard tone control from positions one through nine. It removes itself from the circuit at position ten, allowing for transparent sound and letting the full natural voice of the guitar shine through. The guitar also comes with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system, allowing for screaming or rumbling without sacrificing tuning stability or pinpoint intonation.
Both guitars have been designed to inspire, with four decades of experience and a focus on modern features and versatile sound that every guitarist will appreciate. If you’re looking for a slick performer with superior sound, these guitars are a must-have. Since 2002, Charvel has been under the ownership of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
