Bugatti La Voiture Noire

Bugatti unveils the most expensive production car at the Geneva Motor Show – a dark and brooding classically-inspired gran turismo.

In an era when the name “black car” has become synonymous for a luxurious mode of transportation, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire redefines what it means to be the ultimate black car. Quite literally named “The Black Car” in French, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and left more than one person speechless. It features a handcrafted carbon fiber body, a glossy black finish, and an uninterrupted optical flow.

From the classically inspired lines, to the windows that are reminiscent of a helmet visor, to the seamless flow of the windshield, everything about the Bugatti La Voiture Noire encourages your eye to give it the “once over” and then quickly turn your head back for another look. Under the hood you will find Bugatti’s 8.0 liter quad-turbo W16 which pushes out 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque, figures so impressive that the car requires six tailpipes.

While the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside, its creators have also added an impressive price tag. At €16.7 million ($18.9 million, tax included), the Bugatti La Voiture Noire has just taken the title for the most expensive new car of all time and it just might be worth every single penny.
