adidas and A Bathing Ape (BAPE) have announced a new sneaker collaboration to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their partnership. The brands have teamed up to release a limited edition Bape x Adidas Campus 80, which will be available for purchase from April 1, 2023. The sneaker features a premium navy suede upper with BAPE’s star logo on one side and the signature Three Stripes on the other. The navy shoelaces come with gold lace jewels attached to the forefoot and matching accents on the heel. The shoe is completed with BAPE branding on the tongue and special graphics printed on the footbed, and a white midsole. The limited-edition sneaker will retail at $150 and will be available at adidas.com, select adidas and BAPE stockists, and the Confirmed app.

This collaboration marks an important milestone for both adidas and BAPE. adidas has struggled since parting ways with Kanye West and has been over-reliant on the Yeezy brand. This new partnership with BAPE could help the brand regain its relevancy in the sneaker world and build some positive momentum. On the other hand, BAPE is currently facing a lawsuit with Nike over the similarity of its BAPE STA model to the Air Force 1, which has put its signature model in legal limbo.

The BAPE x adidas Campus 80 is an exciting new release for sneakerheads and fans of the two brands. The limited availability of the shoe means that it will likely sell out quickly, so fans are advised to act fast to avoid disappointment. The sneaker collaboration is a testament to the longstanding partnership between the two iconic brands and their shared passion for streetwear fashion.
