If you saw Avengers: Infinity War, there’s no way you’re gonna miss the last chapter of the series, so really, a trailer might not even be necessary at this point. The shockingly powerful turn of events in Infinity War left us wondering, “How in the world are they going to recover from that?”
What we can say is that the gloomy atmosphere near the end of Infinity War continues throughout the trailer for Avengers: Endgame. There aren’t any plot points revealed (that’s how it should be, DC). We do see some ominous Schindler’s List-style red-in-monochrome effects that heighten the sense of grief. Oh, and awesome new Avenger suits.
Although welcome, a new trailer for the biggest movie yet in the MCU feels oddly timed, considering that Captain Marvel came out in theaters only a couple of weeks ago. Maybe Marvel just wanted to smash DC’s second Shazam! trailer to bits. Avengers: Endgame will be out in April.
