The star of today’s Apple event held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York was the new iPad Pro, featuring powerful upgrades and an all-new design. The iPad Pro comes in two models. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch edge-to-edge Liquid Retina displays are stunning, bright, and color accurate. They are also the thinnest iPad yet, both coming in at 5.9mm thin.
The super fast eight-core A12X Bionic chip is specifically built for the iPad Pro, making it the most powerful tablet ever. (It can even outperform most laptops.) Together with the seven-core Apple GPU, the iPad Pro promises smooth professional photo and video editing capabilities, incredible 3D graphics, and immersive AR experience (to be utilized further in Apple’s upcoming partnerships with Adobe and more).
The second-generation Apple Pencil attaches magnetically to the iPad Pro, which also charges it simultaneously. Face ID also comes to iPad for the first time and works in any position that the iPad is held (or even while seated using the Smart Keyboard Folio). The new iPad Pro utilizes USB-C, replacing the Lightning connector.
You can order the new iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Smart Keyboard Folio today, which will all be available in stores on November 7th.
