The Aston Martin DB5 Vantage is often billed as the “most famous car in the world” and is widely considered to be among the most beautiful cars ever made. It is renowned for its now eternal association with a certain agent of international espionage and is the perfect example of product placement in popular culture.
The DB5 Vantage’s most substantial change occurred under the bonnet with the introduction of a 3995cc naturally-aspirated straight-six engine, producing 282bhp and 280 lb-ft. The chassis changes included the adoption of the Girling disc brakes and 15” wheels, along with many other improvements. The DB5 Vantage was propelled to worldwide fame when used as James Bond’s car in the movie Goldfinger, eventually spawning a special Aston Martin Works creation known as the Goldfinger Continuation that was built in 2020.
The Amalgam Collection Aston Martin DB5 Vantage 1:8 scale limited edition model is a true masterpiece that captures the essence of this iconic vehicle. It is a timeless piece that will be cherished by collectors and enthusiasts for generations to come.
