The new 2024 McLaren 750S picks up where the 720S left off. It uses a similar powertrain but develops more power. It also looks similar to the 720S and is available as a coupe or spider but with leaner body weight and lower ride height. The McLaren 750S is a sharpened successor that still mixes air and fuel with a V8 blender.
As mentioned, the 2024 McLaren 750S uses the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 producing a ready-set-go 740 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox sends the engine’s output to the rear wheels. McLaren claims the 750S is quick enough to see 60 mph in 2.7 seconds.
To help reduce the car’s weight, McLaren fitted the 750S with its lightest wheels ever fitted to one of its production vehicles. Moreover, the British supercar uses the latest hydraulic suspension with lightweight dampers and springs said to provide better driver feedback.
Stopping power can be increased with the available ceramic rotor and Monoblock brake caliper track package. Lastly, the McLaren 750S staggered wheels come wrapped in Pirelli P Zero summer tires as standard but can be optioned with P Zero Corsa or P Zero Trofeo R if you plan on visiting several track days.
Inside, the 2024 McLaren 750S cockpit features a seven-inch infotainment screen to manage most of the interior controls like CarPlay, climate, and ambient lighting configurator. A 360-camera helps the driver navigate tight parking spaces, and you can raise the car’s low-riding nose at the touch of a button. If, for some reason, you get tired of listening to the car’s V8 roar, you can drown it out using its Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
