There is often a bit of overlap between Kia and Hyundai. So, it’s no surprise that Kia unveils the mid-cycle refresh of the 2023 Kia Telluride on the same day as the 2023 Hyundai Palisade. Both three-row SUVs made their world premiere at the New York International Auto Show this week. New for 2023, the Kia Telluride gains some new tech, a facelift, and two off-road-focused trim levels, the X-Line and X-Pro.
Kia gave the 2023 Telluride a new vertical LED headlights front grille, with revised bumpers and surgically enhanced fascia. In addition, all trim levels of the 2023 Kia Telluride received new wheel designs. Moreover, buyers can choose one of the new exterior colors for the Telluride: Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red, and Jungle Wood Green. Inside, the new Telluride features Kia’s latest dual 12.3-inch display screens acting as the driver’s instrument gauges. Other features include a redesigned steering wheel, an “Auto Close” power liftgate, and new interior color packages.
The 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line and X-Pro models feature rugged accessories to attract the active lifestyle market. These new trim levels come standard with unique grille designs, roof rails, added ground clearance, and unique wheel designs. In addition, these off-road trim levels offer a tuned traction control system and downhill brake control for improved all-terrain performance. Speaking of performance, the 3.8-liter V6 carries over to the 2023 Telluride. The eight-passenger SUV is good for 291-hp and 262 lb.-ft of torque with an eight-speed transmission. All-wheel-drive is optional and standard on the X-Line and X-Pro. Pricing will be announced before the 2023 Kia Telluride goes on sale later in the year.
