Cadillac has announced the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, the SUVs high-performance variant. This news is merely a teaser to set up the vehicle’s full detailed unveiling later this spring. Nevertheless, we are already champing at the bit to find out what sort of power this full-size Caddy will bring to an already impressive array of fast SUVs.

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V wears a mesh grille with blacked-out exterior accents based on press photos. The front bumper has been styled to promote its new sportier attitude with shark-like side vents similar to the Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing. This comes as no surprise, considering the Escalade-V will be sitting at the same family table as these sports luxury sedans. Other styling cues include V-Series badging on the Escalade’s doors and a rear bumper with a subtle diffuser. Unfortunately, only one photo of the Escalade-V interior has been released at this time, showing the truck’s steering wheel displaying a Cadillac V-Series emblem.

We can only speculate that the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will flex the same engine as the CT5-V Blackwing in terms of power output. That means a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 668-hp and 659 lb.-ft of torque. Match that power with the acres of interior space, and you got an accurate representation of what Cadillacs used to be famous for – big, powerful luxury.
