Paying homage to the 70s era Meangraf, Yema is releasing a modern version of their beloved racing watch, the Yema Meangraf Super B70. The original Yema Meangraf was a funky chronograph series designed to calculate the average hourly speed of a race car, which was an interesting and highly specific complication made possible by the calculation bezel featured on the classic timepiece. Today’s more modern offering resurrects this precision chronograph in a slightly funkier variant.
The 39mm Yema Meangraf Super B79 features a black dial with contrasting red and white hands as well as the 1970s Navygraf-inspired “exclamation mark” hour markers. The bezel is partially integrated into the case which results in a distinctly retro look and feel. It has all the charm of the 70s classic with modern flair and style. This quirky chronograph will appeal to classic racing design drivers as well as motorsport enthusiasts. As part of this timepiece’s unique design, the mechanical movement snaps back from zero upon the reset. It also sweeps smoothly instead of ticking. The Yema Meangraf Super B70 is available with a choice of a Milanese stainless mesh bracelet or a black leather band.
