The Vollebak Mars Jacket was made for life on Mars. But one look at this other-worldly jacket and it is clear that it could readily be worn on any planet, including Saturn, where fashionistas run rings around Earth. Seriously, though, this space travel-inspired jacket from Vollebak is ready for the future. Made with 100% ballistic nylon and Cordura lining, the jacket is surprisingly practical for cooler temps. The wrap-around front enclosure hides a two-way front zipper, which makes it perfect for blustery days here on Earth.
Vollebak’s Mars Jacket comes in both a light edition and dark edition, which amounts to light metal and dark metal hues, as a nod to the spacecraft where it might be worn. There is a fleece lining in the two side pockets and a warm layer of fleece lining the collar. Functionality comes in the form of two sleeve pockets, and an anti-gravity pocket that is accessible from both the inside and the outside. The jacket is even outfitted with a vomit pocket, 3-D printed with a screw cap opening. Surely it would hold some other kind of liquid, too. It even comes packaged in an appropriate industrial orange Mars bag, suitable for gift giving for that loved one who is planning their first trip into space someday.
