As a follow-up to our story yesterday on the upcoming Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 1837 release, we just got our first (clear) glimpse of the actual sneakers. The all-black suede Air Force 1 1837 — a nod to the year Tiffany was founded – come with Tiffany blue swooshes on the outers and insides. An all-black sole unit supports the look, matching the laces, pebbled leather overlays, and dubrae.
The classic AF1 lace clips come with T, C, and O overlaid lettering. Sterling silver badges are affixed to both heels with the number 925 – a reference to Tiffany’s dedication to making fine jewelry. (925 sterling silver is better than pure silver, as it is soft, making it challenging to shape for jewelry manufacturers.)
The brands have also revealed a trio of limited-edition, co-branded sterling silver products including a T&Co whistle, a Nike x Tiffany shoe cleaning brush, and a shoehorn. Prices range between $250 and $475 with the collection to be available through Tiffany.com. Starting March 7th, the sneakers, which are set to retail for $400 at Tiffany’s two NYC flagships, select Nike retailers, and on the Nike SNKRS app, will be available for purchase.
