Tesla’s long-awaited Cybercab is finally here, marking a bold step into the world of autonomous driving. This futuristic robotaxi, drawing design inspiration from the Cybertruck, was officially unveiled by Elon Musk, who claims it will hit production before 2027. Unlike other robotaxi prototypes, the Tesla Cybercab will be available for private buyers, with a price tag expected to be under $30,000.
The Cybercab ditches traditional controls like a steering wheel and pedals, fully embracing Tesla’s advanced autonomous technology. At the unveiling event, attendees got a sneak peek at the minimalist interior, which features seating for two and a large infotainment screen borrowed from the Model 3 and Model Y. Outside, the Cybercab boasts Tesla’s signature futuristic look, with a full-width LED light bar and supercar-inspired butterfly doors adding to its sleek design.
Tesla’s obsession with aerodynamics is evident in the Cybercab’s build, with solid aero covers on the wheels and sharp lines across the body to maximize range. One of the most eye-catching details is the absence of wing mirrors and a rear window—features Musk deemed unnecessary for a vehicle designed to drive itself.
While the company keeps specifics about the powertrain under wraps, Cybercab promises to revolutionize how we think about transportation. As Tesla awaits regulatory approval, car enthusiasts and tech lovers alike are eager to see how this self-driving marvel will change the roads of tomorrow.
