If a picture is worth a thousand words, then an image snapped on Nikon’s D500 100th Anniversary Edition is surely worth a million.

In celebration of the company’s 100 years of photographic excellence, they’ve introduced the D500 to highlight their commitment to DSLR technology. Almost 20 years ago, Nikon first brought their DX-format DSLR camera to market. At the time, it was aimed at making camera bodies lighter and frames fuller for more high-quality shots. A decade and a half later, the innovation of the DX-format came full circle with the introduction of the D500. With incredible, professional-level capabilities and unparalleled ISO capacities rolled into 4K video, the D500 has enabled pros and photography enthusiasts alike to reach new potential.

The 100th Anniversary Edition of the D500 celebrates that with a limited run of this envy-inducing camera. Each camera produced in the series comes in Nikon’s exclusive, sleek metallic gray finish. A supple Italian leather strap and a bespoke metal carrying case inscribed with each camera’s unique serial number further set it out from the pack. A commemorative logo and body cap also add to the celebration.

All the original D500 specs are standard on this new edition, featuring a 20.9MP DX format and a CMOS sensor with Optical Low Pass Filter and EXPEED five image processor. A 20K Autofocus is combined in the Multi-CAM with 153/99 AF points. Cinematic video is also a cinch with 4K UHD video capabilities, while sharing is wireless with the built-in SnapBridge technology.
