Those who have loved playing Nintendo’s Mario Kart can now celebrate with two limited edition TAG Heuer watches. Made with the high-quality materials and precision craftsmanship TAG Heuer is known for, these two Mario Kart watches are sure to excite watch collectors and video game connoisseurs worldwide.
The first in the TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart lineup is the standard Mario Kart Chronograph. This watch, made in a limited run of 3,000 pieces, is a 44mm polished steel watch housing the automatic Caliber 16 movement. Filled with video game references, the timepiece is decked out with sporty racing stripes emblazoned on a red and black motif. The watch features the Mario Kart logo around the ceramic bezel and a custom-made Mario image positioned on the 9 o’clock seconds indicator. The screwdown caseback features the Mario Kart image etched into the stainless steel, and the watch has a calfskin leather strap designed with a custom embossed pattern.
The second limited edition watch in the 45mm TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart watch release, limited to 250 pieces, is the Tourbillon Chronograph. This watch comes in a substantial 45mm titanium case housing the automatic Caliber Heuer 02T movement with a Mario Kart-themed rotor, visible through an exhibition case back. Playing into the Mario Kart theme, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Tourbillon Chronograph features a 400 km/h tachymeter scale around the ceramic bezel, etched with the Mario Kart logo. The skeletonized tri-compax dial has three iconic Mario Kart characters on the hands, appearing to chase one another. The Formula 1 x Mario Kart Tourbillon Chronograph has a calfskin leather strap with a titanium “M” buckle.
Interested buyers can register until October 17 for early access to the Chronograph online starting on October 20. Those interested in the Chronograph Tourbillon can register on TAG Heuer’s website now to receive notification when the watch will be released. The TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Chronograph is priced at $4,300, while the Tourbillon Chronograph is priced at $25,600.
