Stone Island has always been about bold colors and unusual material choices. Some of the brand’s first designs came along almost entirely by chance when creator Carlo Rivetti saw the potential in a unique fabric used to make truck tarps.
Working with Massimo Osti, Rivetti developed a collection inspired by military uniforms and workwear. Some 60,000 dye recipes and who knows how much textile research later, that aesthetic remains front-and-center for Stone Island, reinforced by their iconic armband detail. The Spring/Summer ‘23 Icon Imagery Collection is no exception.

- 537B5 Sweater ($753): This 5 gauge cardigan knit features a stocking stitch with a perforated effect that runs from the chest down. Available in black, blue, and light green.
- 533D2 Half-zipper knit ($660): Made of cozy 7 gauge, gauzed-effect cotton, this piece features a ribbed bomber-style collar and pouch pocket with a slanting entrance. Try the orange.
- 508D8 Sweater ($885): A 12 gauge cardigan knit with a standing stretch cotton fleece collar and front. Features standing hand pockets and snap fastenings. Dove gray looks chill.

- 40823 Membrana 3L TC ($805): Features a 3-layer light-performance fabric and water-resistant membrane. Standing collar. One chest pocket, with flap and hidden snap fastening. Magenta is the standout.
- 40324 Packable_Loom Woven Chambers R-Nylon Down-TC ($903): This puffer coat can be folded up and stowed within its own inner pocket. Turquoise steals the show.
- 40522 Garment Dyed Crinkle Reps NY ($778): Light hooded blouson with a resin coating for mild wind and water resistance. Resin gives the surface a distinct crinkle look. Yellow with black zipper details is a lowkey spring bumblebee vibe.
