An electric bike can be a suitable commuter loophole for anyone who doesn’t want to ride around on a scooter, skateboard, or skates. Bike manufacturer Specialized has debuted their latest two wheeled creation the Turbo Vado SL. This e-bike has an integrated 320Wh battery that takes less than three hours to fully charge. Once it’s full of juice the Turbo Vado SL can reach speeds up to 14 miles per hour for a range of 80 miles. For an additional cost Specialized offers a range extender for an additional 40 miles.
The Turbo Vado SL’s lightweight aluminum frame tips the scales at just a hair under 33 pounds. The Vado’s electric motor gives riders three modes to choose from: Eco, Sport, and Turbo. Calibrated for 1:2 pedal-input-to-assistance, the Vado will keep riders from sweating uphill with 240 watts of support. Specialized allows riders the opportunity to connect their smartphones to the Turbo Vado SL. From this “mission control” riders can diagnose problems, record and share rides, manage power output, and even give their bike a name.
The Turbo Vado SL is a premium E-bike that is leading its class in terms of range, weight, and ride quality.
