‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Official Trailer 2

The official trailer for 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' has dropped, and Han has a "good feeling about this."

With a little more than a month left until the actual release date, the official trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has dropped, and we have one question: is it going to be any good?

In typical Star Wars tradition, we know what the scruffy-looking nerf herder would say, but surprisingly, the young Solo in this trailer says that he’s “got a good feeling about this.” Let’s hope that feeling carries over to the movie (we know real fans already caught the two Star Wars references).

The movie seems to have a western vibe (evidenced by some gun holster shots from the behind) and follows the plot of a heist movie as Han enters the smuggling world for the first time. We get more glimpses into the dynamics between the main characters — the young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich), his mentor Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson), childhood friend and possible love interest Qi’Ra (Emilia Clarke), smuggler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino), and Wookie sidekick Chewie, who apparently is more than 190 years old. We also get to see Chewie’s wife, the new droid companion L3-37, and a villain with a never-before-seen dark side weapon.

Discerning eyes will notice that the Millennium Falcon looks a little different; so is it not really the Millennium Falcon? Our speculation is that it’s still got an escape pod or a cargo hold attached to the front (that we don’t see from the original movies). Hang on to your burning questions, and let’s see how it unfolds when it comes out in theaters on May 25th.
