‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Official Trailer

Everyone's favorite scruffy-looking nerf herder finally gets an origin movie of his own.

Everyone’s favorite scruffy-looking nerf herder finally gets an origin movie of his own, with Solo: A Star Wars Story. Following the 45-second teaser to the trailer that was released during Super Bowl, the official trailer has been revealed today.

There had been a lot of speculation for the movie ever since it was announced, and after director changes and reshoots of reshoots, everyone was worried that there were going to be delays in the release of the movie. Apparently, the Memorial Day release date hasn’t changed, and with the first actual trailer that’s only three months early, director Ron Howard is cutting it pretty close.

Even after seeing the trailer, we have a lot of burning questions. The trailer doesn’t reveal any plot points, but we do see a lot of familiar characters and some new faces, including the titular young Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich), Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino), Chewie, and Qi’Ra (played by Emilia Clarke). And let’s not forget the Millenium Falcon! We’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed for our favorite scoundrel and the best pilot in the galaxy to get his worth of shine.
