In the wake of the release of the Galaxy S 10 the attention of the Android universe has been fixated on the impending release of the Note 10. The fervor of that anticipation has made the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 come somewhat out of left field. Even though the tablet’s release may not have had the same dramatic build up as its smartphone counterparts, the S6 makes just as big of a splash.
The latest incarnation of the Android-powered tablet has slimmed down its bezels to provide users with a more compact version that still manages to have an enhanced screen size of 10.5 inches. The end result is a version that looks larger but feels more sleek. That screencentic design showcases a brilliant 2,560 x 1,600 resolution.
The crystal clear resolution frames breathtaking images captured by the S6’s dual-camera design. The tablet’s primary 13 megapixel camera is paired with a second 5-pixel camera with a 123-degree wide-angle lens perfect for capturing panoramic views. These two cameras provide greater versatility equipped to capture the exact shot you’ve envisioned. The forward facing primary cameras are complemented by an equally impressive 8 megapixel selfie camera that captures a clearer picture perfect for video conferencing.
The tablet’s back panel has also been revamped, being replaced with a durable aluminum finish. This means that the vibrant hues of its Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue, and Rose Blush colorways can easily withstand scratches, smudges, and other wear and tear. That back panel encases the S Pen inside a magnetized dock. Samsung’s proprietary stylus is as enhanced as the next generation tablet itself by being designed to recharge wirelessly when docked, even while the S6 isn’t hooked up to a charger.
Another feature that makes the Samsung Galaxy S6 really stand apart is its comprehensive keyboard. The attachment is designed in a two-piece book cover style that allows it to be separated from the S6’s back cover as well as doubling as a stand. Equipped with function keys and a trackpad, the S6 keyboard is designed to have a responsive, ergonomic design that is on par with the tactile feedback you’d find from a keyboard and PC. Its design is unlike other tablet based keyboards that feel like an afterthought instead of a crucial component. That isn’t the case with the S6, as its highly functional keyboard is a huge part of what makes this next generation tablet Samsung’s most impressive to date.
As for the specs inside the tablet, it uses a cutting edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor that can run multiple apps simultaneously without diminished performance. That processor powers Samsung’s new Game Booster feature, engineered to improve gaming performance by managing other applications to limit the toll they take on battery life or processing power. The tablet is driven by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM that hold 128 GB and 256 GB, all while being equipped with a MicroSD slot for additional memory. From its user-design to its performance specs, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Tab takes the mantle as the premiere Android tablet on the market.
