The Porsche 911 is a bit of an oddity in the automotive industry. Oddity may be the wrong word, as we’d like to see more examples of manufacturers taking the same approach as Porsche has with the 911. It’s a steady evolution of the same principle and shape, which some might say started off wrong, with the engine in the rear, that’s been stubbornly honed and perfected for over 50 years, making it one of the most pleasurable cars to drive. However, what’s more interesting is the fact that it lends itself well to customization as well.

A prime example is the 1990 RWB Porsche 911 Pandora One, tuned by none other than Akira Nakai of the legendary Japanese tuner Rauh-Welt Begriff. Based on the 964, this Mignonette Green example is on sale for $219,888, a price that’s worth considering given it’s extensive list of customization and the fact that there’s quite a bit of 911s awaiting to be massaged by Nakai-san’s expertise. Think of the price of entry as a shortcut to getting the RWB 911 of your dreams without the wait. The list of customization and upgrades are too numerous to list, but some highlights include a 3.6L flat six engine with a custom FFTEC turbo kit mated to a G50 5-speed manual transmission and insanely wide RWB Royal rear fenders. To see the full list of upgrades and to tempt your trigger happy finger and bank account, check out the listing on Hemmings.
