Describing the 1956 Bentley S1 Continental Drophead Coupe by Park Ward is like trying to find the words for the perfect glass of wine, the body of a beautiful women, or the Caribbean Sea. In short, words don’t do this classic automobile justice. As one of only 31 factory left hand drive chassis bodies by Park Ward, the 1956 Bentley S1 Continental Drophead Coupe might as well be defined as a classic work of art.

This particular model was originally purchased in May 1956 by none other than than Mr. Thomas D. Neelands Jr., a successful bond salesman who just so happened to help create United Airlines. In 1971 it was acquired by William S. Payson who later sold it to Leon Levine of Schenectady, New York, before it was lovingly acquired by renowned collector Robert M. Lee in 1988. Throughout the decades the 1956 Bentley S1 Continental Drophead Coupe by Park Ward has been carefully taken care of with restoration work completed by respected firms. RM Sothesby’s is currently accepting bids on this fine piece of automobile history.
