When the Covid-19 pandemic created a global shortage of masks, Razer immediately began producing certified medical grade masks to help. The company has donated more than 1 million masks worldwide thus far. Now that the mask supply is reestablished, Razer has turned its attention to creating Razer Project Hazel, which may be the most sophisticated consumer mask ever made. Project Hazel is a solution that addresses practical mask-wearing issues while maintaining the highest level of protection. The smart mask is equipped with two replaceable N95 filters, which protect against droplets and other potentially contaminated particles. Sealing the mask around the face is an unobtrusive seal that is airtight and keeps the mask away from the face for unimpeded speech.
With the Razer Project Hazel, all of the common objections to wearing masks fall away. The clear mask allows others to see facial expressions, and Razer Voiceamp technology increases speech volume through a built-in microphone and amplifier. While wearing the mask, speech and non-verbal communication are easily understood. The mask is also equipped with active ventilation, which eliminates excess moisture by bringing in cool air and releasing warm air. On top of everything, the mask is sustainable in that it can be reused (and sterilized in a charging case) over and over, and it is made from recycled plastic. Don the Razer Project Hazel, and experience what it’s like to protect yourself through a truly smart design. At this time, Project Hazel is just a concept, so no word on pricing or availability.
