Inspired by the planet Mandalore’s beskar steel, the Polaroid Star Wars: The Mandalorian Edition is a digital twist on the classic instant camera. The Polaroid Now i-Type camera adds more creativity to the user’s photographic experiences with this special edition. It features an autofocus 2-lens system (0.55m-1.3m and 0.6m-∞) that automatically selects the best lens for the shot. There’s a self-timer and a built-in double exposure feature which can add layers and textures to shots.
This latest addition to the Polaroid Collection features an outer shell of polycarbonate and ABS plastic, while the optical-grade lenses are made of polycarbonate and acrylic. The custom-designed shutter system uses a precision step motor and the focal lengths are 94.96mm (close-up) and 102.35mm (distance). The camera weighs 0.95 pounds without the film pack and is 3.7 x 4.4 x 5.9 inches. It works with i-Type and 600 film and comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, USB charging cable and neck strap. The Mandalorian Starter Set is also available for purchase, where collectors can use 12 collectible film frames inspired by Star Wars: The Mandalorian. And in each pack of the Mandalorian edition instant film there is a limited edition darkslide.
