On December 3rd, we will see the launch of the PALACE x KAPPA Collaboration, a collection that celebrates Italian street style and British football culture of the 1990s. To develop this collaboration, sportswear giant KAPPA invited the design team from British skateboarding brand, PALACE, to explore its archives in Turin, Italy which contain jerseys worn by iconic players, as well as many different Home and Away kits worn by KAPPA-sponsored teams over the past 30 years. The resulting joint offering features a wide assortment of retro apparel and accessories that pay homage to the Italian street style and the British football scene and skateboarding culture.
The PALACE x KAPPA collaboration includes a “90’s fit” crinkle effect long jacket in technical nylon with the Maxi KAPPA logo on the shoulders and PALACE’s reworked “banda” on the sleeves. Another item of note is the iconic KAPPA 222 Banda tracksuit in polytricot, rebranded with a playful new PALACE KAPPA logo. A variety of t-shirts with Raglan sleeves are inspired by iconic soccer jerseys in blue, yellow, pink, and black, and completing the collection is a soccer shoe bag with the KAPPA and PALACE logos in rubber.
