The Oris Hölstein Edition 2020 breaks new ground by being the first Swiss watch to be entirely made of bronze. Yet, the horologists at Oris didn’t stop there when they were crafting this limited-edition 250-piece release. While the caseback is embossed with the Oris Bear to infuse the Hölstein Edition with a sense of familiarity, the rest of the timepiece is rife with features that give it an aesthetic that is truly unique.
A 43mm multi-piece bronze case to house an automatic chronograph movement that powers the timepiece over the course of its 48-hour power reserve. Quintessential of a dive watch, the Hölstein Edition is made to be water-resistant, able to withstand depths of up to 100 meters. The golden hue of the dial balances the bronze case and its minute scale top ring with a subtle variation on its otherwise monochromatic color scheme. The black face of the two chronographs provides a starker sense contrast. Those chronographs measure hour-long and 30-second intervals, respectively. The divergence of those stylistic elements gives added emphasis to the warmth of the bronze used on this Oris diver.
