Bodega, the Boston-based streetwear boutique, has partnered with Nike to create the Nike x Bodega Dunk High SP “Legend”, which is slated to launch on December 28th. The new collaboration with Nike on this uniquely designed high-top represents a bittersweet moment for Bodega, which is celebrating the legacy of its legendary creative director Marvin Jason Bynoe, who passed away in March of this year. In his honor, Bodega is positioning the Dunk High SP “Legend” as a shoe for the individuals in your crew who impacts or influences others around them.

The Nike Dunk High uppers are centered around a tortoiseshell jewel Swoosh on each lateral quarter panel, which is then surrounded by shaggy brown suede. The back halves are mostly held together by brown rawhide strips, which wrap around the collar much like they do on the palm of a baseball mitt and are elongated on the flaps. The high-top features moccasin-like leather rope laces on the quarter, collar, and heel, working with the premium leather and suede build to give off a Visvim-vibe. The Nike Dunk Highs will be offered in two colorways including “Fauna Brown” and “Sail.” The former uses medium and dark brown shades atop a cream base, while the latter goes for a full sail upper with scant brown accents. Look for the red bandanas that display the years 2006 and 1972 — the years in which Bodega and Nike were introduced — that will be included with the Dunk Highs.

In other things Nike, check out the brand’s Synthetic-Fill Parka, perfect for these cold, winter days.
