Automotive company Naran teased the car-world earlier in the year with news of a front-mid-engine powered self-proclaimed hypercar. The car itself is also named Naran and is designed as a 2+2 “hyper coupe.” It uses a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 developed in Germany by Racing Dynamics. The engine produces an impressive 1,034 horsepower and 764 lb-ft of torque, capable of pushing the coupe zero to 60 in 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 230 mph.

The Naran is no off-the-rack supercar. With only 49 units scheduled for production, the Naran Hyper Coupe falls into the bespoke category. Each car is individually tailored to the buyer, from the interior to even the car’s name. The hyper coupe’s design is a minty fresh departure from the constant stream of supercars that all seem to blend into looking either like a Ferrari or a McLaren. The Naran manages to look different with just the right amount of familiarity. It’s not a 40-inch highway razor, but a sleek vapor-wave GT car with 22-inch hybrid-carbon wheels and functioning aero. Naran plans to debut the hyper coupe sometime in 2021.
