Part of the appeal of camping is the ability to “get away from it all.” However, while that is a nice sentiment, no one really wants to shed all the trappings of modern life. When it comes to cooking in the great outdoors, equipment matters even more. Campers of all skill levels need utensils that can allow them to make a wide assortment of food, assuming that they’re not content with cold cereal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fortunately, the Messermeister Adventure Folding Chef’s Knife is an excellent accessory for any camping excursion.
Messermeister, maker of best-in-class knives, partnered with celebrity Adventure Chef, Adam Glick, to create this 6″ Folding Chef’s Knife. This knife makes short work of fruits, vegetables, and even wild game (should that be necessary). Messermeister considered the edge geometry to create the best hand clearance and contact with the board. The blade is balanced at the bolster for perfect control while chopping or slicing, and the edge is ground to a razor-sharp 15-degree. An open-frame design allows water to flow through the handle slot for thorough and easy cleaning. Also included is a locking mechanism in the handle liner to keep the blade safely in place when in use. The blade is made from German 1.4116 steel which resists stains and corrosion and maintains its durability for a lifetime.
