MetaAxon is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to finance the MECA 3 in 1 Webcam for video conferencing. This removable camera, manufactured in Hong Kong, is a multi-purpose piece of technology. It incorporates an adjustable camera and microphone with a ring light so users can adjust its brightness and color temperature. MetaAxon says its 3 in 1 Webcam is simple to set up. Users can be ready for a video conference in three seconds.
Here’s the thing. Built-in webcams often make users appear as if they’re looking somewhere else during a video chat. However, the MECA 3 in 1 Webcam features an ultra-thin and soft data cable and reusable nano glue, allowing users to place the detachable camera lens anywhere on the screen. The company says the nano glue will not leave any residue or damage the screen. What’s more, the nano glue is reusable and washable.
Siu Ling Anita designed the MECA 3 in 1 Webcam. She says the reality of having to communicate online inspired her creation since a good camera, lighting and a microphone are necessary for good communication. Siu Ling Anita says those integrations, combined with portability, improve the efficiency of video meetings. She says she has already selected an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manufacturer. Supporters can follow the MECA 3 in 1 Webcam campaign on Kickstarter and receive deep discounts on preorders. The company anticipates shipping beginning in June 2022.
