An exceptional UK-based automobile manufacturer, Lotus has been dedicated to blending “the two disciplines of road and race” since 1948, when founder Colin Chapman built his very first car. The “race” part of this equation leads up to the modern Avon Tyres British GT Championship, where Lotus continues to compete with its Evora GT4. The company also spearheads the Lotus Cup Series, which places owners of Evora, Exige, and Elise vehicles in officially sanctioned competitions on some of the greatest circuits in the world.
In advance of the company’s upcoming 70th anniversary, Lotus has released “one of the most accomplished cars it has ever produced”: the Lotus Elise Cup 260.
Building upon the exceptional standards of the track- and competition-only Elise Race 250, the Lotus Elise Cup 260 incorporates the state-of-the-art design elements of other high-performance Lotus models such as the Exige Cup 380 and the Evora GT430. Powered by an all-alloy, 1.8 litre, 16-valve engine with a chargecooled supercharger, the Elise Cup 260 delivers 265 Nm of torque and can go from 0 to 60 in just 3.8 seconds.
The enhanced aerodynamic design qualities of the Elise Cup 260 are as beautiful as they are functional. Featuring new two-way adjustable Nitron dampers, a polycarbonate backlight glass, and a hand-trimmed luxury interior with bespoke detailing, the Elise Cup 260 may be remembered as the ultimate Lotus Elise.
