Founded more than a century ago, the Italian automotive body manufacturer Zagato has built a widespread and longstanding reputation for creating exquisite, made-to-order vehicles that make innovative use of aluminum. Noting a shared commitment for aesthetics and precision between Zagato and the legendary German camera company Leica, current Zagato CEO and car designer Andrea Zagato shifted gears into the world of photography to create the Leica M10 Edition Zagato.
First and foremost, you’ll love the outward appearance of this unique camera. Finely crafted using Zagato’s signature aluminum, this device features a burnished silver top, deck, baseplate, and outer casing that demand a second look. By employing aluminum, Andrea Zagato also crafted a camera that weighs 70 grams less than traditional serial-production M10 cameras.
Designed to work as great as it looks, the Leica M10 Edition Zagato features an integrated handgrip, a lens hood that can be pulled out and locked in a single motion, and lens focusing aid that pays homage to the double-bubble roofline that graced many Zagato cars.
